Artist Notes: Two magnificent Bull Elk emerge from the shadows into an Aspen grove. They are like ghosts that have suddenly appeared as the sunlight reflects off their antlers and bodies. This highly detailed black and white pencil drawing took me a month (and a dozen or so pencils) to complete. The digital images on my website just don’t do it justice as the detail in the original drawing is even more stunning in person.
